An easy version of this well known Thai dish cooked with waxy potatoes and coconut milk.
Beef Massaman Shopping List
- 1 kg casserole steak – [or shin beef] diced
- 1 large onion – chopped, 2 large waxy potatoes
- 1 tblspn lemon juice, 2 cups beef stock
- 1 tspn salt
- 1 tblspn fish sauce
- 1 tblspn brown sugar
- 400ml can coconut milk
- 3 tblspns oil
- 2 tblspns of chopped fresh basil leaves
Spices in this blend:
Cloves, cinnamon, pepper, maldive fish, coriander, cumin, lemongrass, nutmeg, ginger, almond meal, chilli, kaffir lime.
